The Communist Party (PCRM) will dispute in the Constitutional Court (CC) some of the 11 laws for which the Government assumed responsibility before Parliament. The party’s leader Vladimir Voronin told a news conference that he will also send a letter to the European Commission to inform it about the violations of the legislation and the Constitution committed by the adoption of these laws, IPN reports.
Vladimir Voronin said the 11 bills had been drafted half a year ago, but, as no consensus was reached inside the coalition, they weren’t passed. Former Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar tendered his resignation also because of these laws. “Moldova is managed by a corrupt mafia group,” he stated.
In the same news conference, Communist MP Igor Vremea said the Government assumed responsibility for these laws so that they are not subject to debates in Parliament and society does not know the obscure schemes that will be used to implement them. “These bills were adopted without proper examination as hidden unconstitutional interests were pursued,” he stated. “We will analyze the entire package of laws and will challenge a part of them in the Constitutional Court.”
According to Igor Vremea, several articles of the Constitution are violated by these laws. As a result, the free trade will be limited, public funds and property will be appropriated and corruption and the underground economy will be stimulated.
Communist lawmaker Oleg Reidman said one of the 11 bills provides for increasing the allowances for pensioners, but it’s known that there is no money for such a purpose in the state budget. “Such laws wouldn’t have been passed by Parliament,” he stated.
On July 22, the Government assumed responsibility for a package of laws concerning the social, economic and financial spheres.
