The Party of Communists (PCRM), which was registered as an electoral contender in the national consultative referendum of February 24, 2019, said it will take part only in the televised debates on the plebiscite organized by the national public broadcaster “Teleradio-Moldova”, IPN reports.

“The Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova will not take part in the games staged by the TV channels affiliated to the Democratic Party, which initiated and promotes the referendum for the purpose of manipulating the voters on the day of the parliamentary elections,” stated the PCRM.

Besides the PCRM, which was registered as a participant in the national consultative referendum with the option “Against”, the Democratic Party was registered as a participant with the option “Pro”. The electoral bloc ACUM announced it will not take part in the referendum.
