PCRM silent over participation in meeting with Merkel
The Party of Communists keeps silent about its participation in the meeting with Angela Merkel. Communist MP Sergiu Sirbu told Info-Prim Neo that he would not go to the Republican Palace, where the high-ranking official would deliver a speech. As for his party colleagues, Sirbu refused to comment.
“My not going there is not a sign of protest. I have personal reasons. We’re treated like criminals. Access into the 2-3 neighborhoods around the Palace of the Republic is limited. You’re allowed neither by foot, nor by vehicle. It’s hard even for us, MPs, to go to work. In token of protest against this limitation of the freedom of circulation, I will not come, even though I was invited”, said Sergiu Sirbu.
The schedule of the German Chancellor in Chisinau includes a meeting with the leaders of Parliamentary Parties. At 6 PM, Angela Merkel will deliver a speech at the Republic Palace, which all MPs are expected to attend.
