PCRM says it will seek exclusion of four parties from electoral race
The Communist Party of Moldova (PCRM) says that it will demand that the Democratic Party (PDM), the Liberal Party (PL), the Moldova Noastra Allaince (AMN) and the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM) be excluded from the electoral race, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The PCRM representative at the Central Election Commission (CEC) Sergiu Sarbu accused the four parties of “using undeclared financial resources”. He said he asked that the CEC and the State Main Tax Inspectorate thoroughly check the financial reports of these parties. “In a number of periodical publications, these election contenders used financial resources that were not allocated from the electoral fund. So, this money was not indicated in the financial reports,” Sarbu said.
The representatives of the four parties at the CEC denied the accusations.
The election runners are obliged to present financial reports about their incomes and expenses during the election campaign once in two weeks after registration with the CEC.
At Tuesday’s meeting, the CEC accredited 18 international observers on behalf of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Moldova to monitor the April 5 parliamentary elections.
