PCRM says it will cover expenses of Moldovan military men's participation in Moscow parade
The Communists Party (PCRM) has announced that it will cover the costs related to the parturition of Moldovan soldiers in the Victory Parade in Moscow on May 9. The party says that by refusing to take part n this event, the Alliance for European Integration sympathizes with those who are defeated, not with the heroes, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a statement from the PCRM's political executive.
The party accuses the Moldovan administration of not treating this event as important. “This is perceived as a sacrilege towards the World War II veterans, disrespect for those who fought against the fascists and ensured peace by giving their lives,” the statement says.
“The government coalition does nor represent the majority of the Moldovan people. We do not want the adventures of Misters Ghimpu, Filat, Lupu and Urechean to bring shame on the entire country and disappoint those for whom May 9, 1945 is a holy day.”
The PCRM says it is ready to guarantee that it will cover all the expenses related to the participation of the Moldovan military men in the parade alongside World War II veterans and soldiers of other countries that consider anti-fascism an incontestable and everlasting value.
At Wednesday's meeting of the Government, Prime Minister Vlad Filat said a decision about the Moldovan military men's participation in the Victory Parade will be taken by Acting President Mihai Ghimpu the next days.
