PCRM says it will attend Parliament sittings on condition

The Communist lawmakers will return to the sittings of Parliament only if bills that are vital for society are included in the agenda, the head of the Communist parliamentary group Maria Postoiko told a news conference on Wednesday, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Maria Postoiko said the lawmakers of the Alliance for European Integration only pretend to be working for the society’s benefit. In reality, they safeguard their interests by passing only certain bills. “We work on commissions and know the content of the agenda. We do not want to be their partners as they only pretend to be working. We will see what happens at the next meeting. If vital bills are included in the agenda, we will come too,” she said, without specifying which bills the PCRM considers vital. After the results of the mayoral elections in Chisinau had been announced, the Communists decided to boycott the sittings. They said then they will return to work after the court pronounces on the validity of the seat of mayor, but did not resume attending the sittings after the judgment was passed.
