PCRM ready to abandon referendum idea if government coalition follows Venice Commission's recommendations

The Communists Party (PCRM) will give up the idea of holding a referendum to give a vote of no confidence to the ruling Alliance for European Integration if it takes into account the recommendations made by the Venice Commission, the party's president Vladimir Voronin said before the plenary meeting of the PCRM on March 17, Info-Prim Neo reports. Vladimir Voronin said that he gathered the heads of the local organizations in order to analyze their work and inform them about the steps they must take to prepare for the election campaign. “The recommendations of the Venice Commission must be obligatorily respected in Moldova. We must have early legislative elections and the Parliament should be dissolved. Otherwise, Moldova will not have the possibility of cooperating with the European institutions,” the leader of the PCRM said.
