PCRM doubts exit poll results
Behind the exit poll conducted by CBS-AXA is the Democratic Party and behind the exit poll conducted by IRES is the Romanian government, stated PCRM candidate Mark Tkaciuk, at a press briefing on Sunday night.
Tcaciuk said the PCRM doubted the results as both polls were procedurally faulty. He went on to add that some of the results released today leaked yesterday into some social networks, a reason for the PCRM to treat them as manipulation.
When asked whether the PCRM would challenge the results if they didn't meet the party's expectations, Tkaciuk said the PCRM has always respected the will of the people and would challenge the outcome only in case of evidence of fraud.
The exit polls by IRES/Publika TV gave the PCRM 26.00%, as against 34.4% for the PLDM. In the other poll, conducted by CBS-AXA/Prime TV: the PCRM won 33.8%. followed by the PLDM with 32.2%.
