PCRM demands setting date of presidential elections and dismissing a number of officials
The Communist Party, in the Parliament’s first sitting of the autumn-winter session, will demand including such issues as the calling of presidential elections and creation of a commission for organizing the elections in the agenda, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the PCRM.
The communiqué says the Communist lawmakers will also ask considering dismissing the Prosecutor General, the head of the Security and Information Service, the Minister of Defense and the Minister of the Interior as they have been involved in a series of large-scale scandals.
“If the parliamentary parties approve this agenda they will show they really want the political crisis to come to an end and do not conduct an exhausting campaign to imitate interparty diplomacy,” it is said in the communiqué.
The PCRM expresses its concern about the fact that the ruling parties postpone resolving the political crisis experienced by Moldova and says it is ready to discuss possible ways of overcoming the created situation with the political parties represented in Parliament.
The first sitting of the autumn-winter session will take place on September 29.
