PCRM demands dismissal of Parliament’s leadership
The Party of Communists released a statement on Wednesday, June 29, demanding the dismissal of the Parliament’s leadership. They accuse the parliamentary majority and especially its leadership of discrediting the legislative body and the lawmaking process, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The faction of the Party of Communists notes that the spring-summer session of the Moldovan Parliament is nearly over and it is record-breaking through its lack of productivity and usefulness. None of our faction’s proposals on the truly important matters in the country’s social and economic life were even accepted on the agenda of meetings. Nor have our requests to respect the Parliament’s Regulation, to bring back to normality the legislative process, to give up the practice of groundless postponements of meetings in Parliament, the Permanent Bureau and parliamentary commissions, been accepted by the Alliance parties”, the statement reads.
According to PCRM, the events that happen in Parliament denote the chaos and disorder existing in the government of the country. The conflicts between the leaders of the Alliance for European Integration are aggravating an already difficult situation. “We can declare that the spring-summer session of this year was compromised and the AIE is to blame for stopping the performance of tasks vital for the administration of the country, and for paralyzing the lawmaking process”, says the declaration.
The Party of Communists finds that the government failed its duties. In such a situation, PCRM declares, the people have the right to decide who to empower to repair the catastrophic situation caused by the Alliance.
