The Communist Party (PCRM) will present its electoral platform by the middle of September. The economic modernization of the country is one of the party’s top priorities, IPN reports.

The Communist leader Vladimir Voronin told a news conference that the country’s economic modernization is possible only in conditions of stability in society. The situation in Ukraine shows that a weak country is robbed by oligarchs and the people always suffer the consequences.

“Moldova must remain, even in the most turbulent moments, a territory of peace and stability and the PCRM is able to achieve this goal. In 2001-2009, we built a stable and democratic Moldova and managed to orient society to prosperity. The investments in people were a priority. We opened kindergartens and schools and created agricultural cooperatives,” said the Communist leader.

Vladimir Voronin added that the PCRM prepared a modernization program for the future election campaign as well. “We will not look for enemies in Moldova and abroad. We will get rid of criminals and corrupt functionaries and will restore the rule of law in Moldova. We will reopen all the schools and kindergartens closed by the current government and will increase pensions and salaries up to a level at which the social genocide initiated by the current government can be wiped out,” he said.

The leader of the PCRM underlined that the party’s list of candidates for seats of MP will include only members of the Communist Party.
