PCRM and PPCD expected to go to Chisinau City Hall
The Communist Party (PCRM) announced it will mount protests in central Chisinau every Saturday, since February. The party submitted a preliminary note to the Chisinau City Hall, informing about the protests, but Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca said the Christian Democratic People’s Party (PPCD) asked earlier to be allowed to stage protests on those says, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Under the legislation, if more than one applicant wants to organize meetings in the same place and at the same hour, the competent body of the local public administration calls a meeting involving all the applicants to identify a solution.
“The PCRM must reach an agreement with the PPCD, or Voronin must agree with Rosca,” said the mayor. The Communists intend to protest on Saturdays in February-May, while the PPCD – on Saturdays and Sundays, until April 29.
The Christian Democratic People’s Party has mounted protests against the government since January 22.
