The Ministry of Finance has initiated the payment of indexed amounts to depositors of the Savings Bank, who have submitted applications for registration until December 31, 2024. Thus, people born up to and including 1991, who did not benefit from the indexed amounts related to the first stage and/or the second stage in the previous period, IPN reports.

The money can be collected at any "Poșta Moldovei" office/agency. In order to benefit from the indexation, the beneficiary, representative or heir must present their identity card. The heir will additionally submit the death certificate and a notarially certified copy of the certificate of inheritance, and the representative - the power of attorney, drawn up in the manner prescribed by law.

In cases in which the deposits have been tested by several heirs, the heir claiming the indexed amount to which he is entitled shall submit to the post office the application for the calculation of the indexed amount to be paid.

Depositors born up to and including 1991, who have not yet submitted, for various reasons, applications for indexing, may do so at any "Poșta Moldovei" post office, having their identity card and passbooks of accounts opened before January 1, 1992.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the index-linked amounts will be paid according to the amounts foreseen in the state budget for index-linking for that year. In 2025, 10 million lei are foreseen for these purposes.
