Pavel Postica elected CEC vice president, Alexandr Berlinschi – secretary

Pavel Postica was elected vice president of the Central Election Commission, while Alexandr Berlinschii as secretary of the institution in the October 1 meeting of the Commission, IPN reports.

On September 16, Parliament confirmed six members of the Commission who on September 17 elected Angelica Caraman as CEC president.

In accordance with the Election Code, the president, vice president and secretary of the Central Election Commission must be elected within 15 days of the coming into force of the decision by which the new composition of CEC is confirmed. The time limit expired today.

The Central Election Commission has a five-year mandate.
