Prime Minister Pavel Filip has cast his ballot. He said he voted confident that the future President will understand well the context in Moldova and will contribute to the modernization of the country, IPN reports.
After he put his ballot in the ballot box, Pavel Filip asked the electoral office members if the Electronic Register of Voters works. When he went out of the polling place, the Premier said the future President will have to contribute to the country’s modernization and to bringing Moldova to another development level.
The Prime Minister also said that when all the powers in the state aim to modernize the country, changes can be brought about very swiftly. “In Moldova, the people can live in welfare, but it is very important, as we aim, to contribute to building a Moldova based on European values,” he stated.
Pavel Filip noted that he thinks the presidential elections must be transparent and fair because all the necessary measures were taken in this regard. He called on all the people to vote in the elections as they will thus contribute to developing democracy in Moldova.
