Pavel Filip to take part in fifth EaP Summit

Prime Minister Pavel Filip will pay a working visit to Brussels during November 22-25 to take part in the fifth Eastern Partnership (EaP) Summit. The plenary session of the Summit will take place on November 24, starting at 10am, Chisinau time, IPN has learned from the Government’s press service.

Pavel Filip will deliver a speech in the name of the Republic of Moldova. The meeting will be broadcast live on the official website of the European Council https://video.consilium.europa.eu/en/webcasts. The Premier will have meetings with the President of the European Council Donald Tusk, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn and Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs, Taxation and Customs Pierre Moscovici.

Pavel Filip will visit the NATO Headquarters where he will meet with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. The joint news conference of the two officials will be broadcast live at www.nato.int. The time when the statements will start to be broadcast will be announced later. On the sidelines of the EaP Summit, the Premier will have a series of bilateral meetings with Heads of State and Government. Pavel Filip will also meet with diaspora members who settled in Belgium.
