Prime Minister Pavel Filip requested the competent state institutions to draft documents that would allow for the participation of representatives of civil society in the distribution of external funds, IPN reports.
In the July 6 meeting of the Cabinet, the Premier said the participation of civil society in the external assistance distribution process will contribute to optimizing this process and to making it more transparent.
“We spoke a lot about the monitoring and impartial and correct distribution of external assistance when we set the external assistance priorities. In this case, I speak about the interministerial strategic planning committee which should include a representative of civil society. We should agree a mechanism for identifying this representative so that civil society takes part in this process. My request is to draft a relevant decision so that it is consulted in a reasonable timeframe and we have such a decision adopted by the end of July,” stated Pavel Filip.
