The special relationship between Romania and the Republic of Moldova is confirmed by concrete energy infrastructure, road, education, electronic communications and water supply projects, Prime Minister Pavel Filip said in a reception held in Chisinau on the occasion of the National Day of Romania on November 30, IPN reports.
The Premier addressed a congratulatory message to the Romanian people, saying that Romania is for the Republic of Moldova more than a friend and a partner. He thanked the Romanian authorities for the permanent support provided to Moldova, including on the path of European integration.
“These are relations between people who live in a common linguistic and cultural area. We set the goal of expanding this area to that we have common infrastructure. I think this way the ties between our states will become even stronger,” said Pavel Filip.
Romania’s Ambassador in Chisinau Daniel Ioniță said the Republic of Moldova is a privileged strategic partner and it will be further supported in its European aspirations. “I assure you that the Republic of Moldova will benefit from increased attention throughout the period during which Romania will hold the European mandate. We remain the firmest supporter and act with love so as to materialize our multiple bilateral projects for the people’s benefit,” stated the ambassador.
