The Democratic Party will file a motion of censure against the Government led by Maia Sandu. This was announced by the PDM Chairman, Pavel Filip, on "Forum" show, on Vocea Basarabiei television station. According to him, officially, the announcement will be made by the party on Thursday morning, at a press conference that will take place at 08.30, IPN reports.
Pavel Filip says that the sitting of the Parliament, which will start today, at 09.00, is an electoral one, because two items are on the agenda: one is technical, and the other is the report of the Parliamentary Inquiry Committee on the looting of the banking system. “They (e.n. the ruling coalition) have arranged things so as to come up with these reports on the eve of the elections. They could have waited until next week,” says Pavel Filip.
In his opinion, things in the country are going in the wrong direction. “The Republic of Moldova has marked 28 years of independence to find out that we are not independent. This governing alliance was forged abroad and it does not matter that the emissary from Moscow and the emissary from Brussels came and made this alliance. It is certain that it was made outside," said Pavel Filip. The PDM chairman does not believe that the current governing alliance will last long.
"I do not like whereto the Republic of Moldova is slipping. The question is: what happens today, where are we heading to? Are we closer to Romania now, are we closer to the European Union? It seems to me that we are drifting away," said the Democrat.
According to him, the ACUM bloc is currently in the government because it has promised people that it would mete out justice. Thus the justice reform comes first. "Today we are witnessing a failure of the justice reform," explained Pavel Filip.
