The motivations behind the gesture made by Igor Dodon and his new, absolutely unnatural supporters, of the old political left and the so-called political right, are toxic for the people’s prosperity and the country’s European course, Prime Minister Pavel Filip said, referring to the presentation of a no-confidence motion by the Socialist, Communist and Liberal-Democratic MPs. The statement is contained in the Premier’s speech that was to be given in Parliament, but was not because the quorum at the October 3 sitting was not present. The speech was published by the Government, IPN reports.
The Premier says that he looked for at least one measure or solution that could have been debated in the submitted motion, but could not find. “It is even of a poorer quality than the motion of this summer, and this is not insignificant. There are no solutions, no good faith and no common sense,” said Pavel Filip.
According to him, it is ridiculous and cynical to criticize the government for the attempt to solve a problem generated namely by the signatories of the motion. The assumption of responsibility has a clear motivation: it is a precondition for the accord with the IMF to be signed and for unlocking European financing. It is a precondition for overcoming the disaster experienced by the country in 2015.
“I want to open Moldova to Europe and to investment. Without such a step, we will continue to blame each other and financial and geopolitical eagles will gather around us. I want a Europeanized and Westernized Moldova and will not sit and wait for this country to collapse under the burden of the interests of political adventurers,” said the Premier
Pavel Filip noted that the Government is implementing three reform laws that will strengthen the financial-banking system and will prevent banking frauds in the future. The seven laws for which the Government assumed responsibility will offer access to over €110 million this year alone, plus the unblocking of financing projects and grants that without the IMF’s consent are probably no longer possible.
