The Government and the parliamentary alliance are determined to continue on the road of European integration and to implement the undertaken reforms, Prime Minister Pavel Filip stated in a meeting with the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker in Brussels, IPN reports.
Pavel Filip said they managed to restore the normal pace of the Moldova – EU relations and the Moldovan authorities will make effort to further develop the partnership. “We will appreciate your support for the Republic of Moldova’s request to benefit from macro-financial assistance on the part of the European Union. This assistance is complementary to the program agreed with the IMF and will enable us to build a prosperous economy and to take again the lead in the Eastern Partnership,” stated the Premier.
For his part, Jean-Claude Juncker appreciated the Moldovan Government’s accomplishments, including in implementing the priority reform action roadmap. He underlined the importance of a complex approach for consolidating institutional efficiency of Moldova so that this generates positive changes in people’s lives.
