Pavel Cuzuioc’s film “RAISA” to be screened at international festival

The film “RAISA” produced by the Moldovan director Pavel Cuzuioc entered the competition of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and will be shown for eight times within this event. Two of the screenings will take place in the biggest hall of the festival, which has a seating capacity of 1,400, IPN reports.

“RAISA” is one of the 79 films selected for the international competition out of almost 8,000 applicant films. The first screening will be held on February 6.

The short fiction movie was filmed in several Moldovan communities. The cast includes Cristina Flutur and Maria Sagaidac. “RAISA” was premiered at the Cottbus Film Festival 2015 in Germany and last November was awarded the jury’s Special Honorable Mention at the international competition of the Sleepwalkers Short Film Festival, which forms part of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.

The Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival is the largest event of the kind and is the second festival in the world by the number of spectators, after the Cannes Festival.
