Patrol inspectors wear new uniforms as of February 11. These were donated by the French National Gendarmerie. According to the National Patrol Inspectorate, the first uniforms were distributed in Chisinau. The other regions of the country will get new uniforms the next few days.
The Inspectorate’s press officer Cristina Ababii has told IPN that the inspectors will use both the new blue uniforms and their old uniforms. The new ones have the distinctive signs of the National Police imprinted on them and will be distributed only to the inspectors that patrol and direct road traffic.
“In general, there is no frequency at which the uniforms of inspectors are changed as each piece of clothing from the set has its own lifespan,” stated Cristina Ababii.
The donation of uniforms was made following the development of cooperation relations with foreign law enforcement agencies as part of the partnership between the Ministry of the Interior and the similar institution of France.
