Three coordinators delegated by the 13 members of the National Council of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) who formed the platform “Patria-Rodina” didn’t have access to the June 4 meeting of the Council. The guard didn’t allow Valentin Krylov, Fiodor Gagauz and Alexei Gorodinskii to enter, explaining that they received instructions from Igor Dodon, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the platform.
The communiqué says the process of usurping the power inside the PSRM goes on. When he was banned access to the meeting of the National Council, Valentin Krylov still held the post of executive secretary of the PSRM and, simultaneously, of secretary in charge of organizational matters. Alexei Gorodinskii heads the council of the PSRM local organization in Anenii Noi, while Fiodor Gagauz is the secretary in charge of ideological work and a member of the council of the local organization in Botanica district.
The split within the PSRM between the veterans and the newer members occurred in a meeting of the National Council on May 29, when the creation of a distinct ideological platform inside the party - “Patria – Rodina” - was announced. In the June 4 meeting of the Council, Veronica Abramciuc and Valentin Krylov were excluded from the PSRM’s executive, but are still party members.
