The patients with benign tumors, as those with malign tumors, will be offered free functional, esthetic and psychological rehabilitation services. The persons will be provided with prostheses and implants and with the consumables needed for treating soft tissue defects. This is provided in a draft decision to extend the examinations covered by the common mandatory health insurance program, which was approved by the Cabinet, IPN reports.
Minister of Health Ala Nemerenco said the program was supplemented with a series of new medical services for the early detection of particular diseases, medical-genetic assistance services, new checkups for determining immunological parameters and immune-hematological, ultrasound, echoencephalographic and other exams. A total of 46 new medical services that are free for medically insured persons were added to the common mandatory health insurance program.
The draft decision also says that the insured citizens will benefit from consultations with health specialists without referral from the family doctor and from a number of free medical services, most of which are high performance ones. The insured persons will have access to health specialists in district and municipal hospitals and can be admitted to the hospital without referral from the family doctor. Respectively, there will be no need to schedule appointments beforehand and to get referral for laboratory and other kinds of examinations.
