Dozens of patent holders Thursday protested in front of the Palace of the Republic before the Parliament’s sitting, demanding that they are allowed to work under patent. They said they will protest until they are heard, Info-Prim Neo reports. The chairman of the Small Business Association Eugen Roscovanu, who is the leader of the protesters, said they have asked to be allowed to work based on patents for several years, but the authorities did nothing yet. According to him, the lawmakers promised to examine the issue, but nothing has been yet decided. The patentees intend to stage protests every Thursday, before the sittings of the legislature. The patent holders ask extending the areas of activity where they can work under patent, reducing the compulsory health insurance and social insurance contributions, issuing patents for families, etc. One of the protesters said the tax they have to pay for the patent is too large and the tax inspectors demand that they change the legal form of activity and register private companies.
