The National House of Social Insurance (CNAS) on May 11 transferred 29.7 million lei for paying unemployment benefit as a lump sum to more than 10,600 holders of the entrepreneur’s patent and private individuals who carry out activities in accordance with chapters 102 and 103 of Title II of the Tax Code No. 1163/1997, IPN reports.

In a press release, the CNAS says that under the ordinance made by the Commission for Exceptional Situations on May 5, 2020, the one-time unemployment benefit is paid by the National House of Social Insurance through the agency of payment service providers. If the recipient didn’t choose such a provider, the money is transferred to the post office.

The patent holders who are also recipients of pensions or other social benefits and get this benefit through banks will receive the one-time unemployment benefit on the bank card.

The lists of recipients of one-time unemployment benefit are compiled by the State Tax Service and were transmitted to the CNAS. The benefit can be collected from banks or post offices with the identity card.

The one-time unemployment benefit is paid until June 30 this year.
