Passports valid for ten years issued as of October 10

Moldovan passports valid for ten years started to be issued on October 10 to applicants aged 16 or over. The prices of documents remained unchanged, IPN reports.

When applying for identification papers, the persons will no longer need to present a certificate showing their blood group.

According to the Public Services Agency, even if the national legislation provides that the identity card of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova is issued at birth, the new provisions stipulate that the holding of a passport is mandatory as of the age of 16.

Detailed information about the list of necessary documents and charges for issuing identification papers is available at the Agency’s website or can be obtained on 14909 and (022) 257-070.
