The price of the passport of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova will be decreased from 850 to 650 lei, as a Government decision approved on Wednesday provides, IPN reports.
“This is one of the most popular services provided by the Public Services Agency. This price reduction is primarily due to the removal of the corrupt scheme that had been applied since 2014 until recently,” the Agency’s director Mircea Eșanu stated in the Cabinet’s meeting.
In accordance with the decision, all the papers issued electronically by the Public Services Agency will cost by 20% less. There are seven such types of documents and the number is to be increased to 27 by the end of this year. The move is aimed at encouraging the people to use electronic services.
Also, the IDs for refugees, stateless persons and beneficiaries of humanitarian protection will cost almost three times less. The decision is to take effect on August 1.
