Passengers traffic on Chisinau-Bucharest flight up 123% in July
Air Moldova airline in July transported 54,000 passengers, an increase of 13% compared with last July. The largest growth of passenger traffic was recorded on the Chisinau-Bucharest flight - of 123%, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the airline.
The passenger traffic on the Chisinau-Milan flight rose by 57%, Chisinau-Istanbul – by 26%, Chisinau-Saint-Petersburg – by 19%, Chisinau-Moscow and Chisinau-London by 18% each.
Air Moldova last month conveyed over 1,100 persons from Moscow and Saint-Petersburg to Europe and back, with the Chisinau International Airport being a transit point. About 5,000 passengers have been transported this way in the first half of the year.
Air Moldova provides direct flights to 18 destinations, including Frankfurt, Vienna, Bucharest, Istanbul, Lisbon, Madrid, London, Athens, Larnaca, Rome, Milan, Verona, Paris, Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Varna, Munich, and Kiev, offering its passengers two classes of services - Business and Economy. In spring, Air Moldova acquired an Embraer 190 plane from a Brazilian manufacturer.
