PAS MP Sergiu Litvinenco said he will make approaches to the Central Election Commission (CEC) and will demand that the members of the electoral offices delegated by the Party of Socialists and the Shor Party should be replaced with other persons from the register of electoral functionaries if these do not answer the phone or do not intend to react. This way, the Socialists desperately try to obstruct the vote in the diaspora, either directly or through the agency of their representatives in the CEC, IPN reports.
Sergiu Litvinenco stated that in accordance with the law, the parliamentary parties nominate members for the electoral offices established outside the country. The Party of Socialists and the Shor Party decided not to delegate real persons. Those who were assigned by them formally either don’t answer the phone or, if they answer it, do not know that they were delegated to work on electoral offices. This is done intentionally so as to delay the voting process as it is one thing when there are nine members in an electoral office and it is another thing when there are seven or fewer members.
The second problem signaled by Sergiu Litvinenco is the non-distribution of a sufficient number of operators. The CEC allotted only two operators, even if three were asked.
Contacted by IPN for a comment, spokeswoman for the PSRM Carmena Sterpu didn’t answer the phone. She then sent a message, saying she was unable to speak at that moment
