The Party “Action and Solidarity” (PAS) formed a youth organization and chose its head in a meeting of the party’s Political Council on December 18. “It’s clear that a party that wants to exist for a long period of time and wants to have well-trained members must invest in the young people and must grow leaders inside so that these later become the future generations of party leaders,” said the head of PAS Youth Organization Dan Perciune, quoted by IPN.
In her speech, PAS chairwoman Maia Sandu criticized the government, especially for the tax amnesty, appointment of the prosecutor general and pension system reform. She said she will offer the foreign partners and international organizations to have monthly discussions about the internal situation with the civil society and the opposition of Moldova.
Maia Sandu thanked those who became involved in the election campaign and helped her to obtain a good result in the presidential elections, saying the party will strengthen its ranks for the parliamentary elections of 2018 and will create PAS organizations in all the country’s districts. “We will go to all the settlements, where we saw that we have supporters. We invite these people to join us and to support us,” she stated.
The PAS leader also said that before the legislative elections of 2018 the party will suggest changes to the electoral legislation so as to prevent election rigging.
The Party “Action and Solidarity” was founded in May 2016.
