The Party “Action and Solidarity” (PAS) will provide assistance to persons embraced by the pension system reform, including in court, if need be, the party’s leader Maia Sandu said in a news conference, quoted by IPN.
Maia Sandu noted there are thousands of persons who continue to work after they retire because they have a very small pension and need to supplement their incomes. “These people contributed during tens of years, but the contributions they make now are in vain as they do not get pension bonuses based on these,” she stated.
The PAS leader also said that the pensioners who will seek help from the party will be helped to make approaches to the local offices of the National House of Social Insurance to have their pensions recalculated. If their requests are rejected, the party will help the pensioners to sue the institution.
