PAS MPs demand that Government should propose kindergarten reopening plan

The parliamentary group of the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) requests the Government to provide, until July 31, a concrete plan of action for reopening the kindergartens on August 10. The executive is requested to suggest a detailed guidebook with instructions and a project for allocating sufficient funds for this to be done. “The children have the right to education. This is a constitutional right that can no way be violated and it should be guaranteed for absolutely all the children equally and not discriminatorily or selectively,” PAS MP Doina Gherman stated in a press beefing, being quoted by IPN.

“We didn’t see a clear guidebook worked out by the Government. Such a guidebook should include particular aspects, namely clear recommendations as to the preparation of the early education institutions for accepting children and clear provisions and responsibilities for employees and managers of kindergartens,” noted the MP.

MP Veronica Roşca, who is a member of the parliamentary commission on public administration, asked that persons who know how to deal with a pandemic should be included in all the teams, in all the fast-track groups.

In the program “Moldova Live” on the public TV channel Moldova 1, Prime Minister Ion Chicu said the COVID-19 pandemic does not recede and the kindergartens will not be reopened on August 1.
