MP Iurie Păsat, deputy chairman of the commission on agriculture and food industry, passed away on Monday morning. The Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) said the death occurred due to anaphylactic shock caused by wasp stings, IPN reports.

“Iurie Păsat was a dedicated, hardworking, upright colleague. Over the years, he dedicated himself to the community, including in his capacity as mayor of Bălceana village. We offer our most sincere condolences to the family and close ones and we stand by them in these very difficult moments,” noted the PAS.

On August 9, Iurie Păsat was going to turn 52 years old.
