PAS leader invited to Prosecutor General’s Office

The leader of the Party “Action and Solidarity” (PAS) Maia Sandu received an invitation to present herself at the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) on October 12 in connection with the denouncing statement that the party she heads submitted, demanding to hold accountable the leader of the Democratic Party Vlad Plahotniuc, IPN reports.

In a posting on a social networking site, Maia Sandu asked the Internet users what they think about this and if the PGO started indeed to work.

On September 21, the PAS filed a denouncing statement against Vlad Plahotniuc, requesting that this should be held accountable for the usurpation of state power. Maia Sandu said the Democratic leader controls all the powers in the state and this runs counter to the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova. Also, the Democrats hold a majority of seats after forcing MPs to defect from their parties to them.

Earlier, Maia Sandu reminded that the PAS submitted a similar denouncing statement against the President of Moldova Igor Dodon. The PGO responded that it has no legal reasons to react somehow.
