PAS gains a majority of seats of MP, After Poll final results

The After Poll shows that PAS wins a majority of seats of MP, possibly even a constitutional majority, said the director of the Institute for Public Policy Arcadie Barbăroșie. In a news conference at IPN, he noted that the results can change after the votes of the Moldovans from the diaspora are counted.

According to the final results of the After Poll, PAS gains 55.8% of the vote, BeCS – 23.1%, while the Shor Party – 8.1%. The next positions outside the election threshold are taken by BERU with 4.5% of the vote and PPPDA with 1.9%.

Valeriu Pașa, who heads the WatchDog.MD Community, commented on the statements of BERU leader Renato Usatîi, who said that the preliminary resuts are false. “The assertions are incorrect. In the case of Renato Usatîi, given that he adopted a negative position towards polls, his supporters refused to take part in the poll. We admit that BERU can win more votes than the presented average. We admit that those who refused to answer who they voted for include a higher number of supporters of Renato Usatîi,” explained Valeriu Pașa.

The poll was carried out by “CBS Research” and “CIVIS”, being commissioned by WatchDog.MD and the Institute for Public Policy.

The election threshold for a party is 5%, for an electoral bloc is 7%, while for an independent candidate is 2%.
