The PAS councilors of the Chisinau Municipal Council plead for a plan to demolish the unauthorized constructions existing in the capital city. According to them, the Government approved the legal framework for the purpose and now the local public authorities should put it into practice and should start to take concrete actions. The councilors drafted a decision to identify definitive and irrevocable court decisions that envision the demolition of unauthorized constructions, IPN reports.
The Government approved the regulations concerning the demolition of unauthorized constructions and the felling of trees and bushes. The local councils in their budgets will earmark financial resources for demolishing unauthorized constructions, while the local executive will implement the demolition decisions through the agency of its subdivisions or by contacting demolition services.
The head of PAS group on the CMC Roman Cojuhari told a news conference that the draft decision will be presented in the June 9 meeting of the Council. Besides the identification of definitive and irrevocable court decisions to demolish unauthorized constructions, the decision envisions the formulation of amendments to the 2022 municipal budget.
According to the PAS councilors, the Parliament and the Government created the legal basis. Now mayor Ion Ceban has to only put it into practice and to free Chisinau from unauthorized constructions that make the city ugly.
