PAS and PPPDA dissatisfied with Parliament’s inactivity: It is Dodon’s strategy

The MPs of the PAS and PPPDA are dissatisfied with the fact that Parliament will not have plenary sittings this week. According to them, the MPs of the PSRM-Shor coalition are encouraging the Parliament’s inactivity on the pretext of the state of emergency. The opposition MPs say that no matter how long the current legislature’s mandate is, the legislative body should work and adopt laws for the people, IPN reports.

According to the PPPDA MPs, the Parliament’s Standing Bureau avoids having meetings to decide the date and agenda of the future plenary sittings.

“It is something abnormal. We have a lot of important bills. Despite the state of emergency, Parliament should have sittings. No matter how long the current legislature will yet sit, one month or two, the bills we initiated must be passed.  The people expect the MPs to adopt good laws,” PPPDA MP Vasile Năstase stated in the talk show “Ghețu Asks” on TV8 channel.

The PAS MPs expressed their dissatisfaction with the Parliament’s inactivity and say that this is advantageous to the PSRM-Shor coalition.

“On the one hand, the Socialists speak about the efficiency of the current Parliament and desperately try to extend its life. On the other hand, we see this chaos. This is done intentionally. It is a strategy of Dodon who stick to the principle “the worse, the better”. This state of uncertainty and chaos suits the Shor Party that wants to avoid liability and to the PSRM too as this way they can continue their schemes,” said PAS MP Doina Gherman.

The Constitutional Court announced that it will examine the President’s application concerning the circumstances that justify the dissolution of Parliament on April 15, starting at 10am.
