The unionist political party “The Right” held the constitution congress where the members chose the administration and approved the statutes, the plan of action and the nominal composition of the party’s National Council. Among the attendees were personalities from the Moldovan diaspora, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the party.
According to members of the party, “The Right” is a political and social project that aims to build a new political class based on integrity criteria, legality and morality and the promotion of Romanian and European values.
Ana Gutu was chosen as president of the party, while Victor Sandu as secretary general. The National Council that was convened immediately after the congress elected Ilie Ilascu, Dorin Dushchak, Ion Ursu, Iulian Gramatski, Anatol Arhire and Maxim Gutu as the party’s vice presidents. Besides the heads and secretaries of the local organizations, the National Council also includes 10 Moldovans who settled abroad.
“The inability of the governments of the last few years to efficiently implement the electoral program of 2009, the malfunctioning of the state institutions, the profound sociopolitical instability and corruption pushed Moldova close to a collapse. This situation led to precarious and uncertain subsistence of the population. The direct result of the current polity led to loss of confidence in the representatives of the current political class of Moldova, plus to a wave of European skepticism among the people,” it is said in the press release.
The party also launched the project “The Right Government”, which was initiated by a group of young experts from Moldova and the diaspora.
