The political party “The Right” launched in Europe the first activities aimed at encouraging Moldova’s union with Romania and at internationalizing this desideratum. On April 1, 2 and 3, the party’s chairwoman Ana Gutu and deputy chairman Dorin Dusceac inaugurated the first groups of supporters of the party abroad, in Brussels and in Paris. These include Moldovans who settled in Belgium and France or live there on a temporary basis, IPN reports.

According to a press release of the party, within debates on the political situation in Moldova held in the Senate of France, Ana Gutu and Dorin Dusceac spoke about unionism and union. Ana Gutu told the French senators that the union option becomes more popular in Moldova, being supported by 25-30% of the people, except for those from the diaspora.

“This option has two dimensions. There is the historical aspect, according to which the Romanian nation is the only historically built European nation, which was divided after World War II. This aspect will never disappear because the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact was repeatedly condemned at international level, but its consequences haven’t been yet liquidated,” said Ana Gutu.

According to her, there is also the pragmatic, economic dimension because the people of the Republic of Moldova realized that the state institutions do not work and this is a harsh consequence of the Russian occupation because there are many functionaries who want salaries, but do almost nothing. The union with Romania will lead to the resolution of many of these problems.

Afterward, in a meeting with MP Bernard Debré at the National Assembly of France, the party’s leaders discussed the necessity of creating a circle of friends of the union in the Parliament of France. “The Right” will initiate the constitution of such unofficial groups in the legislatures of other European states too.

Last week, the party “The Right” was registered by the Ministry of Justice.
