Party “Patria” becomes election runner

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has registered the party “Patria” (“Motherland”) as election runner, with businessman Renato Usatyi at the top of its list of candidates. From today, October 13, the party can officially start its campaign for the November 30 parliamentary elections, IPN reports.

All the seven members of the CEC attending the meeting voted in favor of the registration of the party.

The political party “Patria” submitted the documents required to be registered as contender to the CEC on October 6. It will be the 16th in ballots.

So far the CEC has registered 16 election runners, namely: the Democratic Party (1), the Christian Democratic People’s Party (2), the People’s Force Party (3), the Liberal Democratic Party (4), the Liberal Reformist Party (5), the Communist Reformist Party (6), the People’s Movement “Antimafie” (7), the National Liberal Party (8), the Party of Socialists (9), the Electoral Bloc “Moldova’s Choice – Customs Union” (10), the “Democracy at Home” Party (11), the People’s Party (12), the Communist Party (13), the Liberal Party (14), the Renaissance Party (15), and the party “Patria” (16).
