Representatives of the Party of Regions of Moldova said they will ensure direct access to the Russian market for Moldovan producers. According to the party’s leader Alexandr Kalinin, today the producers have to sell their products only through intermediaries who gain advantages or to throw these.

The leader of the Party of Regions, in a news conference at IPN, said that together with the imposition of bans by the Russian Federation, this subject was broadly used by Igor Dodon and the Party of Socialists in the campaign prior to the parliamentary elections of 2014 and later in the campaign that preceded the presidential elections of 2016.  After the elections, Igor Dodon continued to make use of the bans imposed by the Russian authorities for obtaining not only political, but also financial benefits. “More exactly, since then and until present, corrupt schemes have been applied in the process of exporting Moldovan goods to the Russian market and these benefit intermediary companies and Igor Dodon,” he stated.  

Alexandr Kalinin said the representatives of the Party of Regions had numerous meetings with national agricultural producers, who expressed their dissatisfaction with the relations built by President Igor Dodon with the Russian authorities and with the fact that they cannot sell their products and have to throw them. On February 24, things can be changed cardinally if the people vote for the Party of Regions of Moldova. The party promises it will not allow Igor Dodon to monopolize the market and the export of Moldovan agricultural products to Russia.

The leader of the Party of Regions noted they will create conditions for each producer to be able to export their goods to Russia directly. Therefore, the voters need to make a correct choice. “Time will pass and they will be proud to have voted the Party of Regions that will restore respect for the country all over the world. We will no longer beg from Russia or counties of the European Union. They will be proud of this chose before the future generations as well,” stated Alexandr Kalinin.
