Parties that entered legislature formed parliamentary groups
The four parties that entered the Parliament after the April 5 elections set up four parliamentary groups at the second sitting of the legislative body on Tuesday, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The group of the Communist Party (PCRM) is composed of 60 MPs. It is headed by Maria Postoico, the former Deputy Speaker of the Parliament. The group’s vice presidents are Vladimir Eremciuc and Raisa Spinovschi.
The group of the Liberal Party (PL) consists of 14 MPs for the time being as Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca renounced the seat of MP. The PL leader Mihai Ghimpu will head the group, while Anatol Salaru and Corina Fusu will act as vice presidents.
The group of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) includes 15 MPs. It is headed by the PLDM leader Vlad Filat. The vice presidents are Alexandru Tanase and Mihai Godea.
The group of the Moldova Noastra Alliance (AMN) is formed of 11 MPs. The group’s president is the AMN leader Serafim Urecheanu, while vice president – Veaceslav Untila.
The sitting is attended by 99 MPs out of 101. Dorin Chirtoaca of the PL and Veaceslav Platon of the AMN are absent.
At today’s meeting, the MPs are to elect the Speaker and Deputy Speakers of the Parliament.
