The party “Partidul Nostru” (“Our Party”) headed by Renato Usatyi presented its team of candidates for posts on the Chisinau Municipal Council. The candidates are former MPs, lecturers and businessmen, IPN reports.

In a news conference, Renato Usatyi said the team of “Partidul Nostru” is a professional one, with people who have spotless reputation and who are real patriots.

The party’s candidate for the mayoralty of Chisinau Ilian Casu said he is proud of the team with which he is running in the local elections in Chisinau.

Among the candidates for the post of Chisinau councilor is former Communist MP Alexandr Petkov, who said that if he enters the Chisinau Council, he will fight corruption.

The candidates also include Nicolai Tipovici, Elena Panus, Igor Pohila, Igor Sheremet, Vitalie Cebanu, and Veaceslav Grosu. These aim to create the Council of Elderly People that will suggest solutions to the problems of pensioners, the Council of Mothers that will submit proposals concerning education institutions, and the People’s Guard within which volunteers will patrol the streets at night.
