Teleradio-Moldova (TRM), the national organizer of the Eurovision Song Contest, announced the names of the 20 finalists of the national selection. The songs were heard and assessed by a jury convened by the TMR on Friday, January 9. The list of finalists includes famous and less famous names in the national showbiz, namely: Elena Buga, Cristina Croitor, Anisoara Balmus, Dana Marchitan, Marius, Edict, Katalina Rusu, Slavici, Diana, Cezara, Brand, Sun Stroke Projekt, Olga Tira, Natalia Gordienco, Nelly Ciobanu, Cristy Rouge, Ayra, Alexa, and Galina Scoda. Olga Tira was included in the list twice as she sang two songs. The jury is yet skeptical about the value of the selected songs. "In general, there were no impressive songs. The songs were good and less good. Only three of them were notable,” said composer Anatol Chiriac. According to him, the jury tried to imagine the possibilities of making a show of these songs because the show is at the Eurovision Song Contest often more important than the song. Within 45 days, Teleradio-Moldova will organize a contest that will be broadcast live on TV Moldova 1, TV Moldova International, Radio Moldova and online on the website www.trm.md. The performances will include the basic elements of the stage show. At the second stage, the finalists will be equally decided by the jury, the viewers through televoting and an expert commission of the TRM. The final decision will be made known by the TRM and its mass media partners
