The participants in the Chernobyl cleanup who, for health reasons, cannot go to sanatorium based on a treatment ticket that is offered free of charge to them by the state, can receive the equivalent value of the ticket in cash, as the Government decided on May 26, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, the goal of such a decision is to increase the protection of the persons who suffered as a result of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. The National House of Social Insurance said 24 persons are entitled to such compensation.
The costs will be covered with the financial resources earmarked in the 2021 state budget for being tickets to sanatorium.
