The Sun will be partially covered by the Moon on Saturday, March 29, in the northern hemisphere, thus creating a partial solar eclipse for about 4 hours, IPN reports.
The eclipse will also be visible in the Republic of Moldova, from 08:50 a.m. to 12:43 p.m.
The phenomenon occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth. This time, the sky in Moldova will not be completely dark.
Residents of northern latitudes will be able to see the so-called "cold light" emitted by the Sun. This is possible when the Moon covers 90% of the Sun's visible surface.
Saturday's partial eclipse is part of a semester series of eclipses that occur once every 177 days and 4 hours.
The next partial solar eclipse is expected to take place on September 21, 2025.
