Parliament’s apparatus has a new head

Adrian Fetescu is the new head of the Parliament’s apparatus. He was named to the post at a meeting of the legislative body’s Standing Bureau on Friday, January 29, Info-Prim Neo reports. At the first meeting after the winter vacation, the Standing Bureau decided that the MPs will return to work for the spring session on Thursday, February 11. The members of the Standing Bureau agreed several issues that will be examined at the first and next sittings of the Parliament. The leader of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party Marian Lupu proposed amending the law on public associations and introducing more favorable work conditions for NGOs. Unaffiliated MP Veaceslav Untila suggested including in the agenda a bill on the institution of the Day of the Motherland’s Defender, which will be marked on March 2 every year. On March 2, 1991, the armed conflict on the Nistru River started through the attack of the Transnistrian paramilitary forces on the police commissariat in Dubasari.
