A Moldovan Parliament’s delegation will take part in the 27th session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). The delegation is led by Democratic MP Sergiu Sirbu, who is accompanied by MPs Anatolie Gorila and Ion Casian, IPN reports.
According to the Parliament’s press service, the meeting will take place during July 7 – 11 under the title “Implementation OSCE Commitments: The Role of Parliaments”. The event is housed by the Bundestag of Germany.
At the end of the debates, on the las session day, the OSCE PA will adopt the Declaration of Berlin that will contain recommendations intended for the national governments, parliaments and the international community in such areas as political affairs, security, economy, the environment and human rights. The report and resolution of the General Committee on Political Affairs and Security contain references to the Republic of Moldova and the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict.
Sergiu Sirbu, as the head of delegation, will also take part in the meeting of the Standing Committee of the OSCE PA on July 7. The annual session will bring together over 300 MPs who represent countries of North America, Europe and Asia.
